Volume UP!: A new generation of artists, spectators, and performers in search of
their own mindset and safe social space.
Volume UP! is a creative source of energy, the road to understanding the
a generation that has the desire to change the balance of power through direct
intervention on reality - giving more importance to creation and participation.
Going deeper into subjects to find the common thread between performers and
spectators, they veered toward extremes to provoke themselves (and their audience) to
confront social norms by giving themselves over to mental and visual ways of
participation.
This is an ongoing reflection of a generation alarmed by the rise of a new puritan
social movement that sharply restricts the freedom of individuals.

Inga Galinyte
“I am interdisciplinary & performance artist. My current study focuses on the phenomenon of empathy and its transformative quality that affects human beings by altering traumatic experiences into a source of imagination. In the periphery of my research, there are the elements of sleep and flow as the symbols of pause and motion as well as the ritualistic traits appearing in any type of coexistence including the never ending process of rapprochement and separation.”
Goda Žukauskaitė (1993)
Contemporary dancer, performer, maker based in Amsterdam. Goda graduated from Amsterdam Academy of the Arts, Modern Theatre Dance department. She is currently dancing / performing in a few companies: “Kalpanarts” (NL), “Schweigman&” (NL), working with various independent artists and organizations around The Netherlands and Lithuania.
Židrija Janušaitė
is working in painting, installation, land art, video and performance, organizer of art events, active in Lithuanian and international art scene since 2007. Židrija’s work is defined by stillness: her performance opens up to an experience of intense meditative silence, which, being personal, is shared with whoever choses to enter the special timespace created by the performer. Her performances are mostly meditative, calming, mind relaxing. On another hand, this is how she creates the loop for particular and always individual comprehension, perception of viewer.
